After 12 years The Looking Glass Bookstore is in for a plot twist. Part I is coming to an end and Part II will be the beginning of a new chapter for us. Like many good books there are some happy exciting things to look forward to and some sad goodbyes and changes along the way.
By the end of this year we will be closing The Looking Glass Bookstore in Oak Park and opening a new store in Iowa City, Iowa. The draw of family, especially 3 grandchildren, and the opening of an ideal location made this an opportunity we could not pass up.
We have been so grateful for the wonderful community and friendships that have grown within the bookstore and truly appreciate the support of so many in so many different ways.
We would love to empty our shelves by helping you fill yours. With that in mind:
All BOOKS ARE NOW 50% OFF
UNTIL WE CLOSE AT THE END OF NOVEMBER
If you have Book Credit or a Gift Certificate please come in to use them before the end of November.
All active members of The Book Lovers Club have received the remaining monthly credits due, to be used between now and November 30th.
If you have any questions about past or present credit please call or stop in.
All of you are a part of our story and we have enjoyed having a small part in so many of your stories. Books matter now more than ever and it has been and will continue to be a joy and an honor to help them find new homes.
Wishing you all well and looking forward to seeing you,
